Scope of Services

Whether you’re instituting a new benefits package or want to assess your existing program, we offer the full spectrum of consulting services to optimize your insurance offerings. Each client’s dedicated team offers personalized support from the time of initial consultation through renewal to ensure you plan meets your objectives – today and tomorrow. Our personalized approach is backed by the full support and service of a traditional insurance broker, offering clients access to a broad range of products to design a benefit package that satisfies your needs – and those of your employees.

Consulting and Design

The focus of CBC is to design an employee benefits package to be financially sound and competitive in the marketplace. During our initial client meeting we determine the company goals and objectives relative to the employee benefits program. Our team then prepares our marketing strategy based on the company specifications.

CBC offers a very diverse background in benefit plan consulting and design allowing us to conduct a full evaluation of the insurance and risk exposures of each client. During our evaluation process we consider every funding option including fully insured, partially self-funded (with stop loss protection) Administrative Only Services (ASO contracts), Health Reimbursement Accounts, Heath Savings Accounts, Medical Expense Reimbursement Plans, Prescription Reimbursement Plans and Flexible Spending Accounts.

Customized Services

We pride ourselves in providing customized services based on the client’s expectations. We believe this service allows you the client to define your needs and holds us accountable for addressing each one. Once these services have been determined we prepare a Service Agreement, signed by both you the client and our agency. The Service Agreement should be reviewed annually to ensure all we are providing you with the level of service you expect from us and we have committed to providing you.

Implementation

Once the decisions have been made on your benefits program we develop a timeline to ensure a seamless implementation of your program for the open enrollment period as well as throughout the plan year.

Customized communication materials are designed for each of our clients to educate your employees on the true value of the employee benefits package in both English and Spanish. We conduct educational and informative enrollment meetings each year during the open enrollment period as well as your new hire orientations and mid-year educational sessions.

Ongoing Employee Education

Employee benefit education is a continuing part of our service. Through various mediums we provide ongoing benefit education via regular staff meetings, benefit fairs, lunch and learn, customized websites, e-mail blasts, break room posters and payroll stuffers. In working with the staff at our clients, we customize the communication vehicles to fit their needs and population.

Service Standards & Commitments

CBC takes full responsibility for the servicing and support of your employee benefits package. We work closely with the Human Resource Department as well as staff to provide ongoing service and support throughout your plan year as outlined below:

  • Respond to inquiries from the human resource administrative staff for claims, billing and coverage issues as they occur.
  • Interface with the health care providers to assist your employees with immediate health care issues.
  • Direct assistance will be provided in familiarizing any key administrative employee with responsibilities to benefit issues should it become necessary.
  • Proactively monitor the pulse of the marketplace to offer new products or technology that may be of value to you and your employees throughout your plan year.
  • Mid-year evaluations are conducted to assess the direction of your benefit plan. This process allows us to do mid-year determinations of the rate adjustment expected at renewal based on the claims data that is extensively evaluated. This is critical in designing the appropriate benefit plan for the coming year.

In the ever-changing world of employee benefits, our team of experts is committed to the highest level of product and compliance knowledge. We address compliance issues such as Health Care Reform, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA and Medicare to name a few. Currently our team holds licensure in several states, and are active members of Southwest Florida Association of Health Underwriters, Florida Association of Health Underwriters, National Association of Health Underwriters, HR360, Society of Human Resource Managers, Southwest Florida Employers Association and HR Collier. Through these organizations we have access to educational seminars for our clients that provide the very latest trends regarding employee benefits and governmental regulations.
